NDIS Information
Everything you need to know about accessing NDIS funding and how 24/7 NurseCare can support you every step of the way.
What is the NDIS?
The NDIS is an Australian Government initiative that provides funding to eligible people with a permanent and significant disability. It gives you choice and control over the supports you receive — so you can live the life you want.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the NDIS creates a personalised plan for each participant, funding the reasonable and necessary supports that help you achieve your goals, maintain independence, and participate in your community.
Step by Step
The process can feel overwhelming — but we're here to help. Here's a simple guide to getting started.
To access the NDIS, you must be under 65 years of age, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent disability that significantly affects your daily life.
Contact the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or visit ndis.gov.au to submit an Access Request. You may need supporting evidence from your doctor or specialist.
Once approved, you'll meet with an NDIS planner or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) to discuss your goals, needs, and the supports that will help you live the life you choose.
Your personalised NDIS plan will outline your funded supports and budget. Funding is managed through the NDIA, a plan manager, or self-managed — whichever suits you best.
You have the freedom to choose any NDIS-registered provider. Contact 24/7 NurseCare and we'll work with you to start delivering your supports right away.
